More bottle Cap Catchers
These are made out of bamboo, with 18mm rare earth magnets to catch the caps. They will hold 20 or 25 caps before starting to fall. Finish is satin spray lacquer. the one with the box style catcher is obviously not bamboo, it's cherry like the previous catchers, it has a copper opener.
Bottle Cap Catchers with Ink Transfer
These are made out of solid cherry. They are all slightly different but are roughly 18" tall and 6" wide. The finish is General Finishes seal-a-cell followed by several coats of a shellac/blo/dna mix, and finally a coat of homemade conservators wax buffed in with steel wool.
***I have NO affiliation with the companies named on my Growler Totes***
Growler Tote (Version 2.1)
On par with the last couple versions, just a few small changes. I pinned the handles on from the face of the sides, giving it a bit more strength, also added magnets on the ends to hold bottle caps and holes on the inside to turn the growlers upside down to drain. These two were made for a co-worker so he could give them to his daughter. All poplar and oak dowels once again.
Growler Tote (Version 2.o)
These are made out of solid 1/2" poplar, and joined with glued oak dowels. They are made entirely out of wood and glue, no screws or nails. This time I made 3 different designs, just slightly varied the shape of the end caps. The finish is satin spray lacquer on the Burnside Brewing and NW Growlers totes, and semi-gloss on the Three Creeks and Uptown Market totes. They are about 12" tall, 12.5" long and 6.5" wide.
6-Pack 22 oz. Tote
I made this for a good friend's birthday in August of 2013. This is also made entirely out of solid 3/4" poplar, and joined with glued oak dowels. Again no screws or nails in these. Dado cuts were made in the bottoms of the ends to securely hold the bottom of the tote in place. Finish on this is also Deft satin spray lacquer.
Growler Tote (Version 1.0)
These were made 2 years ago as a present for my Dad on Father's Day. They are made out of solid 3/4" poplar and joined with glued oak dowels. There are no screws or nails anywhere in them, only wood and glue. The finish is Deft spray lacquer and the middle divider is removable. I chose poplar because beer is made from hops, which are green, and poplar has a lot of natural green in it, and one you put a finish on, the green "pops" beautifully. The two pictures in the 2nd row are before the tote had any finish on it, to illustrate how much the color comes out when a finish is applied.
Chalkboard Key Hanger
Made out of solid walnut. This was a wedding gift for my Wife's friend and her husband. This thing turned out great, it was joined together with homemade dowels and my Stanley #59 doweling jig, fun stuff. The finish is my shellac/dna/blo mix and wax, and the B was burned in.
